Sliced Bread Cake
Welcome to our web site
Ingredients (4 people):
-1 package of crustless bread
-12 crab sticks
-12 peeled cooked prawns
-100 gr of smoked salmon
-2 cooked eggs
-250 gr of mayonnaise
-100 gr of ketchup
-1 teaspoon of mustard
– 1 tablespoon of brandy
We chop the crab sticks, the prawns, the cooked eggs and the smoked salmon (it is better if we do it in a chopper glass), we put everything in a bowl, mix it carefully and reserve.
In another bowl we add the mayonnaise, the ketchup, the mustard and the brandy, we mix everything well and we add spoonfuls of this mixture to the bowl in which we have reserved the previous mixture until we have the consistency of a paste (about 5 tablespoons), we should not be left with an excess of sauce because otherwise the bread would soften too much.
We cover an elongated mold (mine is about 26 by 12 cm) with plastic wrap (we have to spare paper on the sides because then it will serve to cover our cake) and place a first layer of sliced bread on the bottom. Next we place another layer of our mixture, we continue with another layer of bread and so we are assembling our cake until we finish with a layer of sliced bread.
Cover with the excess plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.
After that time, we dump our cake on a platter, remove the plastic wrap and cover with mayonnaise or the remaining pink sauce from the filling.
We can decorate it with boiled egg, with salmon and prawns, with lettuce, with some substitute for caviar or salmon roe.
