Rice pudding is a homemade dessert made from milk, rice and sugar. Simple ingredients that we all have at home and easy to make. It is an ideal dessert for athletes and can also be taken as a snack or at breakfast.
- A round rice scoop (75 gr)
- A liter of fresh whole milk
- 125 gr of sugar
- A cinnamon stick
- Three pieces of lemon peel
We wash the rice well, so that it loses the starch and we reserve. We put the liter of milk in a saucepan together with the cinnamon and the lemon rind and let it boil. Then we add the rice, stir and let it simmer for half an hour. Add the sugar, mix it well and let it continue to cook, on low heat, for another half hour. We remove the lemon rind (if not bitter) and the cinnamon stick and pour the rice in a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon. It can be eaten at room temperature or cold.
It is important that the milk we use is whole so that it is creamier. We must wash the lemon very well and when cutting the pieces try to add only the rind.
As you can see it is a very simple dish, a homemade dessert of a lifetime. It is made practically alone and is really exquisite.
