Watermelon Granita

Ingredients (4 people):


– 1/2 large watermelon
– 3 c.s. sugar or honey
– Chocolate shavings to decorate


Elaboration:


We remove the skin and the seeds from the watermelon, cut it into small pieces and put it in the freezer (minimum 6 hours).


Once frozen, take it out and put it in the blender glass, let it defrost a little (the time will depend on the size of the pieces of watermelon if they are small for about 10 minutes) and add the sugar or honey, if the watermelon is very sweet or very ripe we will add only a tablespoon of sugar or honey.

Beat well until a homogeneous texture remains. With a large spoon we fill the glasses or cups, decorate with the chocolate shavings and serve.


If we are not going to consume it immediately we will reserve it in the freezer.
