Cooking Recipes for Everyone: Chickpea Rice

Ingredients (4 people):
-250 gr of rice
-6 red ball peppers
-6 green ball peppers
-300 gr of cooked chickpeas (can be from a pot)
-5 tablespoons of fried tomato
-1 teaspoon of paprika
We wash the peppers and make a small cross-shaped cut at the bottom.
We cover the bottom of a large pot or casserole with the olive oil, add the peppers, a little salt and fry them.
Then we add the cooked chickpeas (if they are from a pot, we must first drain them and wash them well) and we give them a turn so that they take on the flavor of the peppers and a little color. When they are ready add to the pot the water (more or less a liter), the fried tomato, salt to taste and the paprika, bring to a boil, add the rice and stir a little.
Let cook uncovered over high heat for 15 minutes, and 5 more minutes over medium heat.
During cooking we can add more warm water if we see that it has been consumed too much, so that the rice does not stick to the bottom.
We serve hot.
We can decorate it with paprika and oregano.
