- 200gr of bimi
- Two carrots
Today’s recipe is very simple. I use a Pyrex steamer and a saucepan. Steamed vegetables have a more intense flavor and better maintain all their properties.
We clean the bimi under the tap and peel and cut the carrots. Keep in mind that the bimi is made right away, we cut the carrots into small pieces so that they are done at the same time. The idea is that it is al dente.
We put about 400ml of water in the saucepan and the steamer with the vegetables on top and cover. When steam starts coming out of the lid, we count about 4/5 minutes. We lift the lid and check that it is in place. Be careful not to miss it !!!
It is important to place the vegetables in a bowl as soon as it is, so that it does not continue cooking. Add salt and accompany it with extra olive oil.
This time I have used bimi and carrots, but you can use the combination of vegetables you want. I make this combination a lot: broccoli, carrots, zucchini, onion and potato.
I also add oil in which I have previously browned some garlic and I like to accompany it with chopped hard-boiled eggs. You can also put rolled almonds.
