Baked strawberries with blueberries

I have always loved strawberries. I usually prepare them with sugar and a little vinegar and let them marinate. This is another way to do them. I love having them at breakfast with Greek yogurt and some oat flakes. They are delicious. My son likes to make a smoothie by mixing them with yogurt and a little milk for a snack. It is a luxury to have them for dessert with creamy whipped cream. How delicious!


  • A kilo of strawberries
  • 200gr blueberries
  • Four tablespoons of sugar
  • The juice of a lemon
  • Cinnamon stick
  • 100 ml of port


We wash the strawberries and cut them in half, place them in a bowl together with the blueberries, add the brown sugar, the lemon juice, the cinnamon stick and the port. We cover the source with aluminum foil and put it in the oven at 180ºC for about 25 minutes. We can make this dessert with other fruits; with peaches and apricots it is delicious. When I do it instead of port I use aged rum, I think it looks better. Try it out. It is also good with apples and pears.
