Ingredients for a 22 cm cake pan
- 150 grams of sugar
- 300 gr of flour 00
- 3 eggs
- 140 gr. of butter
- Approximately 3 apples (choice: rennet - more mellow - golden - more crunchy)
- 1 lemon
- 1 sachet of Pane Angeli vanilla yeast
- 1/2 glass of milk

How to make the Classic Apple Pie Recipe
Cut the 3 apples into two different plates, two into thin slices and the other two into cubes and sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from blackening.
Separate the yolks from the whites and beat the yolks with the sugar, add 80 g of softened butter to the eggs
beat for a few minutes until it becomes a light cream. Pour half a glass of milk at room temperature and mix until the mixture is homogeneous. Add the sifted flour and vanilla yeast and mix again.
Beat the egg whites until stiff adding a pinch of salt. Incorporate the whipped egg white in 2 times
and mix gently from top to bottom to prevent it from losing volume. At this point, pour the diced apples into the mixture (previously drained from the excess lemon juice), mix always gently and pour the mixture into a greased hinged pan (after buttering put a disc of parchment paper on the bottom, of the same diameter of the bottom of the pan, therefore 22 cm).
Pour all the mixture and decorate to your liking with the apple slices (drained).
Finally, melt the remaining 60 grams of butter in a saucepan and pour it over the apples before baking, sprinkle with brown or granulated sugar so that in the oven a golden crust is created (very good !!!). Bake for 50 minutes at 170 ° (I prefer lower temperatures so that the cake is cooked on the right and not burned out) in any case if it takes too much color before the necessary time then use a sheet of aluminum foil to prevent it from burning. ; always try with a toothpick: if after inserting it into the cake it is wet then you have to put it back in the oven. When a wonderful scent starts to spread from the kitchen, then most likely your quick and easy apple pie will be ready… GOOD APPETITE !!!
