Savoy cabbage and speck pie simple and quick recipe
Savoy cabbage and speck pie: it is quick to prepare, if you use the low cholesterol shortcrust pastry (that of the Vallè) it is not even too fat ... in general, savory pies or quiches have cream and a lot of butter, but with these ingredients I have limited to the maximum the use of fats.

How to prepare a savoy cabbage and speck pie
Cut the cabbage into small pieces and cook for five minutes in a pan with garlic, oil and 2 cups of water. After stewing it for about ten minutes, let it cool
Separately, beat the egg with 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese and mix with the other ingredients (light philadelphia, speck and a drop of milk), add a little salt and pepper. I have previously made the speck sauté in a pan for a few seconds without using condiments, in order to remove some of the fat and make it crunchy.
Finally, add the cabbage and the cubes of scamorza.
Line a shallow pan with the shortcrust pastry (leaving the parchment paper already present in the shortcrust pastry package and cutting the excess parts to prevent the paper from burning in the oven). Pour the mixture over the shortcrust pastry, like a flan, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fold the excess dough on itself creating a border
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for half an hour by placing the aluminum foil on the cake when the edges begin to brown, and removing it for the last 5 minutes to complete cooking. Your savoy cabbage and speck pie is proto .. good appetite!
