Quick and easy tomato friggitelli
Friggitelli with tomato, in Naples we call them "puparunciell" (chillies) but they are not spicy, they are sweet green chillies, they can be prepared in this way or by frying them without adding tomato, or stuffed (those a little bigger). Try them!
Ingredients for 2 people
- 250 gr. of peppers friggitelli
- 1 can of cherry tomatoes
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt and basil

How to prepare the Friggitelli with tomato sauce
Wash the friggitelli, cut the stalk and release the seeds by pressing along the entire length and helping yourself with the tip of the knife.
put them on a cloth to dry them, in the meantime prepare the sauce, using 1 can of cherry tomatoes in a pan with oil and garlic, cook for about ten minutes over medium heat.
Meanwhile, fry the peppers in another pan with a little oil (extra virgin olive oil in this pan too),
after 15 minutes over medium heat and putting the lid on the pan you can pour the friggitelli (or sweet green chillies) into the pan with the tomato sauce and cook for another 10 minutes over low heat, covering with the lid.
they are ready, serve and GOOD APPETITE !!!
