Greek dessert with orange and yogurt Portokalopita Quick and easy recipe

Greek dessert with orange and Portokalopita yogurt. Greek names have always fascinated me, Portok├álopita means cake (pita) of oranges (portok├ália) ... and everything comes back: in Naples we call oranges "purtual". But it should not surprise us, there are many terms in our language that derive from Greek. This dessert is made with phyllo dough (I had some leftover from the preparation of the spring rolls a few days ago), Greek yogurt and untreated oranges. The orange syrup and the preparation so different from the usual intrigued me and the result was really great! Ingredients for a 20 ├Ś 30 cm pan

for the orange glaze:

  • 400 grams of granulated sugar
  • 350 ml of water
  • the juice of 1 organic orange
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

For the dessert:

  • 500 gr of filo pastry
  • 3 organic oranges (untreated)
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 gr of Greek yogurt
  • 180 ml of olive oil
  • 100 gr of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
