Grilled shrimp with lime - Quick and easy recipe

Grilled shrimp with lime: this recipe is very easy to make and only requires 4 ingredients. It is a recipe that I tried a few years ago on a trip to Vietnam and I remember that my friends and I loved them so much that even today this is the way I prefer to eat shrimp. Salt, lime and pepper enhance the flavor a lot, I also tried with lemon, but there is no comparison, much better lime if you find it!

Ingredients for 4 people

  • at least 16 shrimp
  • 2 limes
  • pink Himalayan salt (or sea salt)
  • pepper


How to prepare grilled prawns with lime

We wash the prawns under running water and skewer them with a skewer,


Put the shrimp skewers on an electric grill or on an embers and cook them for a few minutes on one side.


and a few minutes on the other side too, the freshly cooked prawns will take on a color between pink and orange


arrange the prawns on a plate and serve with three bowls containing one pepper, another salt (even better if pink Himalayan salt) and lime (juice) in the last bowl.

We clean the shrimp a moment before eating them by removing the head, the legs and the carapace and the intestine (the black thread on the back of the shrimp), first we dip the shrimp in the bowl with the lime juice to moisten it, then we dip just in the salt and then pepper and let's eat !!!
