Meatloaf with curry Quick and easy recipe
Curry meatloaf: here is a very fast meatloaf of beef (or veal) topped with a really simple curry sauce! If, on the other hand, you prefer to accompany the meatloaf with vegetables, just add a teaspoon of curry powder to the minced meat and the meatloaf will already taste different, very Asian! Also, let's not forget that curry has many beneficial properties (it may interest you properties and benefits of curry) and its use is often recommended to prevent various pathologies. In reality, it is turmeric that, in addition to giving curry its typical yellow ocher color, is one of the most beneficial spices. This recipe is a perfect Italy-India mix, even if it may seem a bit blasphemous, since India doesn't eat beef! Of course, if you are a Hindu you can opt for chicken! You can accompany this dish with the typical Indian bread, try it!
Ingredients for 2 people
- 350 gr of lean ground beef (or veal)
- 3 slices of loaf bread
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 clove of garlic (or 1/2 teaspoon of dried garlic powder)
- 1 teaspoon of sweet curry or spicy (according to taste)
- 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan
- 3-4 tablespoons of curry sauce (optional)
How to make curry meatloaf
The first thing to do is to put the crustless loaf on a plate with the milk, let it absorb the milk.
Put the minced meat in a bowl together with the Parmesan, minced garlic (or the one in powder), a little salt and a teaspoon of curry,
squeeze the loaf of bread, cut it into small pieces and add it to the minced meat
Knead with a spoon or with your hands to mix all the ingredients well; pour a drizzle of oil into a pan,
give the meat the shape of a meatloaf and lightly brown the entire surface of the meatloaf over medium heat;
once browned, add a ladle of water, cover the pan and let the meatloaf cook for about 20-25 minutes, if the water evaporates completely add a little more.
At this point the meatloaf is cooked, cut it into slices and add the curry sauce (click here for the recipe). Serve lukewarm. Enjoy your meal!
