Watermelon Prosecco Quick and easy recipe
Prosecco with watermelon: in this hot and long summer the desire to drink is more than to eat, dinners often result in long aperitifs with many appetizers and colorful and refreshing cocktails (and alcohol to have more fun). A perfect combination is the one between prosecco and watermelon. Watermelon is certainly among the summer fruits the most thirst-quenching due to the very high quantity of water present, and prosecco with a little sugar and a few ice cubes completes this fresh and simple cocktail to make. Try it!
Ingredients for 3-4 glasses
- 1 large watermelon
- 1 bottle of prosecco (optional quantity)

3 spoons of sugar
- water

How to prepare a watermelon Prosecco
Divide your watermelon into two parts and put them in the fridge overnight (it must be very cold for this preparation).
The next day, take the watermelon and cut the internal pulp of one of the two parts, put the pulp in a fine mesh strainer placed on a large enough glass bowl, press the pulp into the colander using a spoon.
Collect all the watermelon juice and set it aside.
In a saucepan, put the sugar and half a glass of water, heat it and stirring with a spoon let the sugar dissolve completely and become a syrup, at this point remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature (not in the fridge please, otherwise it hardens!).
Once the syrup has cooled, put the sugar syrup, the watermelon juice, the juice of half a lemon and the prosecco in a blender (or mixer), the amount depends on your tastes.
Add a little at the beginning and then adjust it later according to your tastes (I put 1 part of prosecco and 2 parts of watermelon juice), mix everything and pour into glasses where you have added 2 ice cubes, decorated with some mint leaf and lemon slices.
You can eat the other half of watermelon as you like! To yours!
Cheers!
