Aperitif with Spritz Quick and easy recipe
Aperitif with Spritz: undoubtedly the most loved and most requested cocktail in Italy is Spritz, it has its origins in the Triveneto area where it seems to have been created (unknowingly) by the army of the Austrian empire during the Austrian domination in Lombardy-Veneto between the end of 700 and early '800. The soldiers diluted the wines with seltzer, because they considered the Venetian wine too strong. In the 20-30s of the 1900s it became the cocktail we know today with the addition of bitters: Aperol, Campari, Bitter Select, Bitter Negroni, Bitter Ramazzotti. I used the best known (Aperol), with the addition of a lot of ice and a few slices of orange and prosecco your beloved Spritz is ready!
- 3 parts of prosecco
- 2 parts of Aperol (or other bitters)
- 1 part of soda
- half a slice of orange (for each glass)
How to prepare an Aperitif with Spritz
Spritz is served in rock glasses (the one in the photo) or in a large wine glass.
Start the preparation by putting plenty of ice and the orange slice in the glass, pour the prosecco into the glass, then the soda and finally the Aperol (or the bitter you have chosen) pour the latter in a circular motion so as not to let it deposit on the bottom. Add the straws and serve with your favorite appetizers.
Enjoy your meal!
