Baci di Dama Quick and easy recipe
Lady's Kisses: typical Piedmontese biscuits, they are nice to present and therefore perfect to give at Christmas in a beautiful box, a nice thought if you are guests at a friend's house, it takes little to make them, both a few ingredients and a short time, try they will surprise you!
Ingredients for about 35 pieces
- 00 flour: 150 gr
- Butter: 85 gr
- Chopped Hazelnuts: 50 gr
- Sugar: 50 gr
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Baci Di Dama
Blend the hazelnuts and sugar with the mixer until you get a rather thin flour, if necessary add a little flour to prevent the hazelnuts from overheating excessively and releasing their oil;
put in a bowl and add the flour and a pinch of salt. Turn to mix everything and add the softened butter, knead quickly until you get a ball (it will not be compact but crumbled enough .. it must be like this)
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour. Take back the dough and get many balls the size of a large hazelnut (or weighing about 6 g each), let them cool again in the refrigerator for an hour.
When it is time to put them in the oven, place them on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake them in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 13-15 minutes or until they become slightly golden. Allow to cool on a rack, combine two by two with a drop of Nutella. And here are your Baci di Dama ready. Enjoy your meal!
NOTES: These cookies are very simple to make but often run into various inconveniences: the most common is to find them squashed in the pan like omelettes, this happens if the oven temperature is not right or if it has not been left to rest in the fridge. My advice is to bake a few balls at a time for the first batches for the first pan until you find the right temperature in your oven, and in the meantime leave the remaining dough or balls in the fridge in order to cool them further.
