Savory Artichoke Pie Quick and easy recipe
Salt Pie Artichokes : in France these preparations are called quiche, very simple to prepare if you do not have time to make the shortcrust pastry by hand, the one found in the supermarket fridge counter is perfect.The advantage is that this type of savory pies can be prepared in no time and with the ingredients we normally have in the fridge, cold cuts, cheeses and some vegetables. Ingredients for a 24 cm cake pan
- 400 gr of artichoke hearts
- 4 slices of speck
- 80 gr of soft cheese (I used Galbabino)
- for the Crème Royale
- 2 eggs
- 250 ml of fresh cream
- salt and pepper
How to make artichoke savory pie
Prepare the artichokes: if you use frozen artichokes then just put them in a pan with 3 tablespoons of oil and salt, cover them and let the artichokes boil over medium-low heat for 15 minutes, remove the lid for a few minutes and let the artichokes brown. Turn off the heat and set the artichokes aside. If you use fresh ones: remove the harder outer leaves, cut the artichokes into slices and remove the internal beard
Prepare the creme royale, it's very simple just beat the eggs and cream, add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper
unroll the shortcrust pastry and lay it (also leaving the parchment paper present in the package) in the pan, fill with all the ingredients: first put the artichokes, then the bits of cheese and it speck cut into strips,
pour the crème royale uniformly.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Your artichoke pie is ready. Enjoy your meal!
